We provide custom, production-ready garment patterns using the OptiTex CAD system. Whether you’re starting from a sketch, a sample, or just an idea, we transform your vision into precise, professional patterns — with clear steps, fair pricing, and collaboration throughout the process.

How Our Pattern-Making Process Works

We believe in clear communication and empowering our clients to understand the full process. Here’s how we work with you from concept to production-ready patterns:

STEP 1

Submit Your Idea

You can start with:

A sketch, photo, or existing garment sample
Measurements (if you have them — we’ll help if you don’t)

We’ll review your idea, discuss your design goals, and clarify any questions you may have.

STEP 2

Pattern Drafting in CAD

Using OptiTex, a professional CAD system for fashion design, we digitally draft your pattern with precise measurements, balance, and construction in mind. This allows for accuracy, easy edits, and compatibility with industry standards.

STEP 3

Pattern Drafting in CAD

You choose how you receive your pattern:

Printed on full-scale paper (pick-up or shipped)
Digital delivery (DXF, PDF, or OptiTex file via email)

We’ll guide you if you’re unsure which format is best for your production plan.

STEP 4

First Sample

Once you have the pattern, you’ll take it to a:

Cutter – to cut the fabric
Sewer – to assemble your first sample

We can help recommend sample makers if needed.

STEP 5

Fit Session

After your first sample is sewn:
- We meet in person (or virtually)
- You bring your model, or use yourself as a model
- We fit the garment and review any issues (fit, ease, seams, proportions, etc.)
This is a collaborative process — we want the garment to feel just right for your vision.

STEP 6

Pattern Corrections

Based on the fitting:

We make adjustments to the original pattern
Provide the corrected version ready for a second sample or production

Optional: We can repeat the fit-and-correct cycle until you’re fully satisfied and production-ready.
